Last week all of the prep classes attended a food incursion as part of our Inquiry 'Food' unit. We talked about healthy foods and then got to make some yummy vietnamese rice paper rolls! They were delish and full of goodness! Here are some pics of our little chefs in the kitchen... :)

Today we played the 3 by 3 maths game which focuses on the kids practising their tens facts (that is, two numbers that make 10 i.e. 5 and 5 or 7 and 3).
Tens facts are so important for mental maths and this is a great and easy game to play at home with mum and dad! What you need: A deck of cards Directions:
Have fun practising your tens facts :) LAYOUT As part of our maths unit on time we decided to have some fun and make human clocks!
The taller person was the 'minute' hand and the shorter partner was the 'hour' hand. It was very funny and the kids loved making clock times! :) Take a look! On Friday we had a heap of fun at Footy Day! Everyone was asked to dress up in their team colours. In the morning, the kids showed off their footy skills down at the park with the Marcellin boys. We then had a whole school parade in the afternoon, where each team got to walk in the parade and sing their theme song. Overall it was a fantastic day! |
