Recently Prep T went on an excursion to learn about the community. We walked to Macleod shops and caught the train to Heidelberg. It was very exciting to catch the train as some of us had never been on a train before. We had to look at the signs and follow the rules such as staying behind the yellow line.
In Heidelberg we had to find places like the vet, police station, a cafe, butcher, supermarket, bank and hairdresser. We met the people who worked at these places and wrote down things we saw there. At the police station, the police even put a call on the radio to the St Martins kids on excursion.
We had a great day learning about the people and places in our community. Here are some pictures from the walk:
